1. About the Commercial Taxes Department
Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Hyderabad under the overall supervision of Principal Secretary to Government, Commercial Taxes, oversees the Commercial Taxes Administration in the State. Commissioner is the Head of the Department and oversees the implementation of the statutes administered by the Department. It has three tier organizational hierarchy. Head of the Department – Divisions – Circles. Each Division is headed by a Deputy Commissioner and each Circle is headed by a Commercial Tax Officer. Enforcement Wing of the Department functions from the office of the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. There are 19 Check Posts at the State Borders.

2.Mission Statement
The Commercial Taxes Department endeavours to transform itself into an enterprise friendly entity and progressive tax administration with focus on greater transparency, fairness and firmness to achieve highest tax efficiency through the use of information Technology combined with best tax practices.

3.Categories of Services
The services provided by the Department have been classified into the following categories:-

Change of names of Directors, Telephone numbers and email address and addition/deletion of additional places of business Online(Required Documents- passport photo graphs, Self-attested Copies of Aadhar , Pan card ,Rent, Bank Account, Partnership Deeds, and Registrar companies issued copies where ever required.) 8. Indicative expectations from service recipients
1. Applying for RC for doing business within time
2. Issuing sale invoices for all the sales made and display of a notice on the notice board that every customer has the right to ask for bill/invoice
3. Payment for purchase and transportation consideration to be made by way of account payee cheque
4. Filing correct and complete returns and paying taxes due there on within due date.
5. Proper usage and record of statutory forms
6. Voluntary reporting of the goods vehicles at the check post and obtaining proof of check of the goods transported. Surrender of transit passes at the Exit Check posts.
7.Surrendering RCs and unused statutory forms on closure of business
8. Mention Buying dealer's name and RC No. on sale invoices / bills in respect of dealer to dealer transactions
9. Upholding highest levels of honesty and integrity in doing business and interacting with department
